Magical Scripts
This week on the 30 Days of Witchcraft challenge, I have to write in a magical script.
This should be fun; I've never written any actual spell work in a script before!
At first, I wanted to do a script that was fun but non-traditional, like the Dragon script for Skyrim (Yes, I'm a nerd).
However, I couldn't find the correct translation of the words I wanted to use from English to Dragon, so the characters could be accurate.
Sad face. Definitely a task for the future!
As a backup, I decided to use the Theban alphabet. For those who've never heard of this type of script, it originated in the 16th Century and has been known as the Witch's Alphabet, although there's no connection between the alphabet and witches before the 20th century.
Even though I didn't use the original alphabet I was planning, this was fun! The process reminded me a lot of sigil work (one of my favs) and I created a spell that would work like a sigil.
First I took the alphabet and corresponded this letters in the word:
This is the result! It turned out very calligraphic in a way.
